A very few modifications like new rims and color coded bumpers make the 914 look like a modern car. The basic design of the car is very durable. It stands the test of time. Some might say bauhaus (right, Jeff B.?).

Looks much better than the two modern Miatas on my street (which sound like crap, btw).

Yep same car, the rest of the pic's are in my Montery oregon trip thread...

http://www.theidiotsvillage.com/misc/Fergi...ict_index5.html

I spent about 25min going over that car, other than some color choices it was very very nice, but price was pretty steep, it was not a orig six to begin with. I asked around after the auction, but did not find out what if brought and if it sold. (The pic's were taken from the auction lot at montery)

To me, $3000 dollars worth of rims and tires would make just about any car look modern (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It is a nice car, I wouldn't kick it out of my driveway...........

I gotta say: that's not what I'd do with my 914 budget (assuming I had money to spend beyond regular maintenance, which at this point I don't) but it sure does look nice.

isn't that the same Black 914 that was for Sale at a dealership in Florida, and the
dealer had it on ebay?
One of us emailed him and told him his description of the car, I *think* 916
was incorrect.

Awesome, Awesome looking car. Every couple of months it shows up on a thread!

Hey! Somebody tell Brad that this cool black car has red suspension. I bet he's gonna be PO'd! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

On second thought, maybe nothing should be said. He was already kinda down from all the flak he took before. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
