hey
does a 1.7l engine fan fit in a 2.ol engine fan shroud with out any issues?
and does a 1.7l distributor swap over also?

No problem on either. You only run into an issue with heads, pistons & cylinders.

yes on the fan (although you may need to change or remark the timing spots)

no on the distributor..
(actually it will physically fit, but likely have different advance characteristics)

distributors are matched to the system. you need to know your brain # and MPS# to match the whole fuel injection system to each component.

The distributor advance curve differences are not that big. There's a "distributor info" page around somewhere--it used to be on the "Renegade 914 Club" website, but that was years ago. I'm not sure where it has gotten to since then.
