I came up with this idea a few years ago after having a clutch cable break again from fraying where the cable goes into the cable tube on the body. Used to be I was replacing cables every 2 years or so. I haven't had to replace a cable since I put this in, that was 4 years ago. So I'd say it works.
To install, you simply remove the clutch cable, tap this fitting into the clutch cable tube, I made it to have a slight press fit. Then install your clutch cable and adjust. The clutch cable threaded fitting goes right through the center hole. What it does is keep the clutch cable centered in the clutch cable tube, therefore no fraying or rubbing on the cable. It takes me a bit over a hour on the lathe to make one out of 304 stainless. So I think $10 would be a fair price. That would include the shipping. If anyone is interested, send me a pm.
