I want to thank Birgit, Brad, Cris, Don, Herb, and Ira for coming out on Sunday, enduring the heat and helping get my car back on it's feet. They were great!

The temperature in El Cajon got up to 106 F (41C for Cris). I felt myself getting dumber as the day wore on.

The switch over from 4 lug to 5 lug is complete.

Kudos to my neighbor Chris for kicking in some burgers and dogs for dinner.

Thanks all!

You got it man!

Hot, hell yes! At about 80% humidity, that makes for a heckuva steam bath.

Since you are building a car to compete in my class, I would go over any component I worked on very carefully. I know I would never consciously do anything to subvert a competitor (and friend) but I'm just sayin'!

I dont recall a single camera being used.

We busted ass and got everything assembled and under the car.

I showed up at noon and left at 6pm on the dot.

Stopped twice for food and drinks.

We even bled the brakes and put the wheels/tires on.

Next step is cleaning! Power wash the engine compartment and all inner fenderwells!

Call me back later Mark. I was in a conference call when you/Trekkor/Butch.. and several others tried calling me.

Next is the engine+trans!!

I had a blast. Really fun showing everyone the differences between the roller bearings/polybronze and plastic.
