Hi All -
My car unfortunately came with stainless 1.7 heat exchangers. I would rather not spend the big $$ on the 2.0 version and I would also like to keep my heat - so no header. This greatly limits my choices on mufflers. As well, the 916 bumper (that the PO blended to the car) has been cut for duals - adding to my problems. I am currently running twin 8" long (short) supertrapps. It took me a while, but I was finally able to get the car tuned by decreasing the number of discs to 7 or so from the original 12. The car is very quiet and runs very smooth, but lacks the high end it had with its old rusty super sprint muffler and 4 into one header that bolted to the heat exchangers. Would tying the two sides together with a straight crossover pipe make a difference? (see below...) Attached image(s) ![]() |
