problem solved easy with a hammer handle.
Paint ain't so pretty now! Gonna get the fenders reshaped in August but gonna have to live with it for 6 weeks or so. Hopefully I can sleep at night knowing what I did to the car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) |

Ah yes. The old baseball bat fender rolling technique. Its a long standing tradition with VWs, you know. I learned that from my good old days over on the VW Vortex...
But you used a hammer handle instead of a baseball bat! How avant garde! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Zach |

Well after driving it today I don't feel to upset by it. Car feels like it rolls a bit more but it seems to be handling alot better. I can't tell for sure til I autox it but it seems to handle pretty neutral now instead of the ass coming around on every corner.
I prefer my cars to understeer a bit. Seems like you have alot more control that way. If I ever want oversteer it's just a blip of the throttle away. |
