This made my day! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) The setup... I was driving home from work down a fairly straight road just over the limit at 45mph (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) just cruising enjoying the drive. I don't know if my car just pisses people off but this kid in a newer camaro was riding my ass and I mean HARD! Well this pissed me off so being the smart ass that I am everytime he tried to pass I dumped it into 3rd and kicked it so that he had to stay behind me heh heh (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) . This is the fun part... I was coming up on my turn, a sharp slightly hooked back right turn onto a smaller road that I usually take between 35 and 45. I hooked into the turn with no warning to him at 40 and he tried to follow me HA HA he spun that damn thing and damn near planted it in the ditch!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) He didn't get a chance to catch back up to me as I laughed my ass off the rest of the way home (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) !!

Great story...these punk kids have to learn somehow! The best part was that he spun out but didnt get hurt or crack up his car. Best lesson he could have gotten....

I like to have fun with the corvettes on the freeway in the civic. Of course that's pretty much all the power in a front wheel drive is good for. Going 60 to 150 real fast. Nothing storkes a guys ego like getting beat by a beat up old civic in the 06 vette.

This would be the last Camaro to mess with the Red Neck Racer.

Not to bust your balls any further than they have been in another post, Chogokin, but what you described (not letting a tailgater pass you) is something that really sets some people off and can get you shot at or worse (not to mention being really irritating). Sure, being tailgated is irritating too, but it doesn't make you less of a man to pull aside and let the hotshot by. I know nothing irritates me more than somebody who decides that the speed limit is an A-OK speed to drive, until I happen to attempt a pass, and then suddenly he just has to speed up. To you, it may be harmless kidding around, but to somebody else, it can be an outright act of hostility.

the road I take to work everyday is a twisty canyon road. Everyday some SOB in a SUV decides that 65 isn't fast enough( speed limit is 55) and rides my ass.

it is hilarious to see the headlights disappear in my rear view as I take an S turn at 65 and they have to slow to 45.

puts a smile on my face everytime (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I gave this knucklehead plenty of time to pass me, he was TRYING to piss me off. Riding my ass for about a half mile of clear road before jumping into an oncoming turn lane to try and pass me a couple of times. Like I said he was a kid out playing with his super fast CAMARO, It wasn't that I was LOOKING for an issue, but he sure was. I think it was because it says PORSCHE on the back of my car and not his. And as far as the danger of being shot, I'm not that worried, I've been shot at by AK-47s RPG's and everything else you can think of, plus he had a base sticker and we were right off base... Iresponsible of me? probably YES, nice to teach him a lesson? HELL YES

Remember how you felt the first time someone did it to you? I better than

understand the motivation, But this would work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif) and less of a chance of

someone getting hurt or worse. I love speed and if they gave time for speeding,

I'd be doing life. But those A$$holes that block your lane for no other reason

than to dick with you, That isn't right.

I was driving in the 944 t.. (racecar)

Driving normal on a outskirt highway kinda road... 60mph.. Stupid ford escort behind me, high beams on. through 3 intersections with pass zones he didnt pass me... (i gave him PLENTY opportunity... So at the last intersection... Before the "pass" zone, I slow down slowly to about 35mph.. (few cars in front of me, keeping the light green) The sensors in the road detect enough "no cars" to trigger the yellow light. about this time (light still green) I get on it for a second, and get to 45 and it triggers the yellow.. and the guy behind me has to stop at the light as I go through...
I timed it JUST right... it felt soooo good... I dropped it a couple of gears, and let him hear my wrath...

Couple days later... same intersection.. Im driving my moms car... same intersection.. rush hour traffic. Light turns yellow, and im forced to go through (not enough room to stop) bout 30 cars in front of me.. speed is about 35mph. look in my mirrors. one car behind me.. suv lady (plenty of time for her to go through..) Drive for about 5-10 seconds... I hear a screech behind me, lady behind me vears off the road, and a black expedition (old) has his breaks locked up almost going sideways probably at about 90 when he hit his breaks (he was coming at me and the other lady FAST0 He goes in the middle of the road, barely missing her.. I kept my eye on him, seeing how sideways he's getting, as I vear off almost in the dirt... If he was gona spin or swing around I was going to drive off in the dirt..... Dude barely got it in control as he passed me and stoped for the car in front of me... then proceded to tailgate them... Lady behind me stayed stoped at the side of the road, probably had a heart attack....

ya know usually I just slow down and get them to pass me, but this guy just pushed the right buttons... oh well, I'm sure he won't try it again! Believe it or not this is not the first guy here to do that to me. My wife and I were coming home from dinner one night going the flow of traffic in her car, and some putz in a honda was sniffing up my tailpipe, I slowed WAY down and it was on a 4 lane road so he had no excuse, but he rode my ass for about 5 minutes before he passed me and flipped me the bird. Must be a full moon or something that brings the crazy's out!

Something about my teener seems to bring the tailgaters out...must be ppl trying to figure out what kind of car it is. Ppl don't realize how annoying it is to have a great big SUV grille filling your rearview mirror when you're in a tiny car. OTOH, I never get tailgaters in my truck, because everybody hates following a truck.

911s get way more of this action. When I drive the 914 I'm mostly invisible. In the 911 everybody wants a race.

I like to push people to the limits in the turns myself. Kinda fun to see how far they go before backing off.
