I'll be pulling the back pad out of my new 914 next week, and need to know what type of felt/cloth I should buy to cover up the interior firewall.

What did the GTs use?

Thanks!

Methinks there was a small hiccup in the uploading process. (Like someone hit the wrong button?)

I can see the photos. I've hot linked them from Armando's page, so maybe that's causing a problem. Can you not see the photos?

Stockinteriors, com has it under universal trunk linner. There is some self adhesive stuff out there but I think it would be a bugger to install. I'm gonna put this stuff EVERYWHERE!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Help!

I dont know what the specs are on the GT felt but this looks like a better deal on similiar product from stockinterior, com.

http://www.baerfabrics.com/products.asp?cat=124

I just odered the samples for evaluation, will post about quality when they arrive.

or, how about flame proof! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

There are all kinds of perlon needle felt out there. (Very similar to bass box covering material out there).

There are various shades of gray and black and in between.

The correct color is charcoal and matches almost exactly to the headliner material on the inside of the targa top.

The closest match I could find was from

http://www.appbiz.com

They sell the perlin charcoal felt by the yard.

Also try Heidi and James (in our vendors section that make all the fiberglass interior parts and carpet kids). They have some perlon felt that is close too!

Now that you mention it Qarl, they would have a lot of that headliner felt lying around. Maybe it's the same stuff?
