I'm gonna take my first dive into the distributor tomorrow. I guess I'm supposed to look at dwell, timing, points, maybe check plugs and wires.
I believe I will need a timing light and a tach/dwell meter thing, so I see PepBoys has a sale for the EQUUS 5-Piece Test & Tune Kit for $50 Will this stuff work for me or is it junk or non-914 friendly? Also, the PO never made good on sending me the tool kit, so I don't have a spark plug wrench. Is there an alternative I can get at FLAPS, Harbor Freight, or Sears? Thanks. This'll be fun, right?
