I was wondering who's going to the Portland Parade Autocross.
More impotrantly, what manner of 914's will be represented in what classes?
(Read: Who's going to be running against who?)

Linda and I are running in I01L and I01M resprectively.

Anyone else?

Both Pamela and I will be running the 3.2. Dave Hunt and his kid, JP Stein and Brit will be running JP's car. I think we are in Mod of some sort or other. Don't know of anyone else. We are running a post Parade a/x on Saturday the 12th. Preference is given to Prade registrants. If interested, www.driverregistration.com has the registration concession.

We are running the vintage races a/x this coming weekend with the WCC event here in Portland, along with several other events for the 914 enthusiast.

Steve Nieslony will be there in M1, Eric fry in M4,
Tom Provasi in M5.....the usual local suspects in M4 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

BTW, I think (hope) they cut off AX entries at 434 (auuuuuggggh).
General entries were cut off (I heard today) at 998......good grief!!

A quick count shows 37 914s entered.
You have one competitor in IO1...a tail dragger.
Youe wife has a trophy locked......no one else in IO1L

Sad to say this "suspect" is withdrawing from M04. Car is sold.
JP and Gary's chances for a trophy just went way up!

(looks fast anyway)

Thanks for the invite on Saturday, but we have our AX then as well.
If anyone feels like getting up real early and driving north to Bremerton, WA you're welcome to join us at Bremerton Raceway.

JP--you seem to have the intel on Parade AX. I got a peek at I01 and that tail-dragger is an '86 Carrera? Unless he's backdated to 912 or 356 power, he's in the wrong class.
Since there are only Linda and I in I01 doesn't that mean we'll get bumped into I02? Can you tell us what we might be up against there? Some ITS 944's perhaps?

This is the Parade....everybody gets a trophy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
AFAIK, at Parade they don't bump classes like SCCA does.

IO2= 3 944s

How do U know if you are in the AX??

I thought we had a AX event with the WCC??

Hey DaveH, if you aren't gonna AX let me take your spot....otherwise there is no reason to drag tires all the way down there.

To get into the Parade AX, you gotta check the block on your application.

We do have an AX at WCC. Read the update ob the WCC website. I'm lookin' for a few good volunteers.....even Geoff would do:D

We can prolly get somethin' going if you want to take Dave's spot.....after Dave explains exactly why he ain't doin' it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ....that's a joke. If it's sumthin' serious & none of my biddness, that's OK. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I already withdrew via official channels from Parade. (Not really sure what that is). Got half my money back. Retired with mechanical issues.
