go to your control panel and check what subscribtions you got running (you can turn them off)

Thanks for the reply. I had already done what you said and there were only two topics im subscribed to that are supposed to be there.

Im getting notified on almost every new topic that comes up continously its getting annoying. does anybody else know about this? Moderator?

in that case, you probably subscribed to a forum, instead of "loose" posts

go to "my controls"

in the lefthand panel under "subscribtions" click on "view forums"

unsubscribe as needed...
