As you can see from the pic, these are necessary parts. I just stripped everything off chemically & am wondering whether it's worth it to "grind away" or look for replacements.

Don't let the battery hold-down fool you, it's full of deep corrosion (paint hides lots of things, until it's stripped!). Licensce plate holder is orig too, but seriously corroded.

Anyone know if these are available new? If not, suggestions on making them look "purists" again.

Both are available new.. be best off with new ones. I see that battery clamp on ebay often. The license plate frame is in Performance Products catalog.

Yeah, I'll go ahead & get the new parts. Just hate to part with anything that came with the car. Makes the most sense though.
