I have read the post on megasquirt, well at least a lot of them, and the recurrent theam is the time spent adjusting the system. Just exactly what is done. Drive the car while recording sensor input on the laptop. using that data to reprogram the ECU. Spend time on the dyno?
What is the method if you want to further adjust your D-jet? Experience? Thanks, Larry |

If you want to adjust your D-Jet, talk to Bleyseng. You really need to start futzing with the MPS adjustments to do the job at all correctly. This is fairly tricky, and you need to talk to someone who's been there. Just adding in resistors to trick the CHT or IAT sensors is only going to take you so far.
With MS, you can datalog and just keep making adjustments. There's also a mode where you set AFR targets at various loads and the ECU is partially self-programming based on those. You have to know what good AFR targets are, however. This really is a subject where you have to understand what's going on, which is going to take some reading up on basic theory. There's lots and lots of information in the MS manual. Other good places are SDS's site, which has some general tuning info. |
