This is the reply I got from the organizer of the German Autofest being held in Ventura California this year, 2006.

Hi Craig,

Thank you for your inquiry.

The dates for the 2006 Ventura Show are September 9 & 10. We are always on
the second weekend each September.

The schedule is about like last year, except the featured Porsche this year
will be all 914 models and their derivatives. We will park all
participating 914's on Main Street both days. Can you help us spread the
word to other 914 owners?

Web site www.german-autofest will be updated in the next few weeks.

See you there,

Bob

Yes we are planning a visit to Palm Desert and a stop over in Ventura. Hotel room reserved at the Hilton?? next door. I just love the sound of that train roaring by at all hours.

Ventura High School class of '92 baby! Funny thing is I had my 914 for 3 weeks before it dawned on me that I purchased a car that was the same colors as the VHS class colors = black and gold. I hope to make GAF, visit mom, stay in my old room, see old friends, surf stables and pipes and rivermouth and pierpont and solimar, and hang out with all the 914club folks on main street. Probably have to display my high school yearbook next to my owners manual or whatever to see if I can attract any old friends that haven't strayed far fromt he nest...should be fun.

I'm in again this year; last year was a lot of fun. Staying next door at the
old" Holiday Inn. Prolly arrive Friday.

FYI- Our friend Meng from Singapore ( a 914 0wner ) will be attending this years with the local Singapore porsche club. He attended last year too.

Hope we a have a huge turn out.
