So I need a little help to make sure I do this right. I've cut off my old damaged passenger side suspension console and I'm ready to weld in the new one. I've heard different things from 'it fits right into place' to 'measure from the center of the firewall'.

Being a novice at this operation... what measurements do I need to take? What mistakes should I look out for? I'm not a suspension geometry guru. Although I do know how to take accurate measurements if I know what to measure- but I don't know what to measure. I'm hoping it 'drops into place' without much room for error. Going to start welding today... advice needed! Thanks
