Hey all!

So, my side marker "fell" off, the clips that attach it to the body had broken. I ordered a new one, but am having a bear of time installing it. The problem is that it seems like the seal (that sits between the housing of the side marker and the body of the car) is too thick, or the clips aren't long enough. Put simply, the clips don't "engage" when I try to pop the sidemarker into place.

I tried sanding down the seal a bit to make it thinner. I also removed all dirt and grime from inside the wheel well where the clips insert...still no luck. I'm pushing on the damn thing as hard as I can, but without bending the body panel.

WTF? Anyone else seen this, or have a suggestion on how to proceed?

Many thanks,

Lava
