This incident should be reviewed at the next drivers meeting as a key learning. Otherwise it is just a terrible incident.

Do the rumors about the 911 driver's past "issues" have any truth to them? I don't know this guy, but several drivers I respect were not happy campers about this guy.

Brad,

The bottom line for me is that everyone else on track responded to the red flag except this particular RSA driver who then struck a slow moving/stopped bright red 944 turbo.

Evidently it had been observed by some other folks that this driver had some quirks like driving between the headlights. That would explain his not responding to the red flags.

Also his attitude/demeanor after the accident has been called into question...

Bill or KenH may be able to give you more specifics, but this is what I have gleaned from several sources thus far.

And I agree with you...this is not a person I want to be on track with and this incident happened in the run group I usually (last 15 years) run in, during GGR timetrials. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
