Hmmmm,
it all started when i got the bright idea to change the position of my dizzy because the vacuum diaphram was too dang close to the firewall and i needed a bit more advance. so i moved the plug wires over one position to allow for the adjustment. then i advanced the dizzy right where i thought she needed to be, then turned the engine over... or tried to. a little too advanced... "Bang!", then "whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". upon removing the starter i found this. a quick email and a response back that says "no problemo', just send me the old one back and i'll send you a new replacement". sounds good to me. flywheel was unscathed.
