I am curious if anyone has ever used these guys for a rebuilt 2.0?

The prices sound really reasonable at 2250.00 or 1750 with core.

It sounds like its a complete teardown and build

Its dirt cheap. Try it.. you'll only be out 2250 plus shipping. My father lived in Placentia for years.. and I dont recall ANY engine building places (and we where into VW's back then).

They are cutting corners somewhere and we wont know what that is until someone buy's one and blows it up.

what is or was SIR?

I contacted them a while ago, just decieded to get the motor done locally when the time comes.
