the washer bottle has a black outflow on top unlike the standard white ones.
I have seen this same bottle in the owners manual. |

This is all that I have been able to uncover in the 11 years I have had the car, I went to the Factory in ’97 where I talked with everybody I could find but they all said the records have been destroyed. might sound funny to you, but I'm in close contact to a german guy who knows a couple of engineers who worked on the very early 914 & 914-6 as well as on prototype cars and race cars I'll ask him if he could contribute something to #0012 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wavey.gif) Gustl |

ok, i checked the mystery bracket against the prototype pictures.
unfortunately, there's noting even remotely similar. the prototype does not have the usual metal subframe for the dash. the dash is in fact held in place by a few handwelded supporting rods ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Andy |

the mystery bracket sure looks like it could be for a parking brake, trunk release or a hand throttle. It could even be for the fuel filler lid release that 914006 has.
