Back a few years ago SCCA really cracked down on roll cages in the 914's (the targa bar used to be legal back in the early 70'sas a roll bar) When you see a 914 with a wicked tall cage (like Bontempi's) its because they where being harrassed about them and they went WAY out of their way to make damn sure they where legal for racing.
