I bought a space saver spare at the autofest this past weekend. It's a 5.5x15 steelie with a collapsable tire on it. I noticed it has a weird valve stem, it looks like two valve stems with one capped. Does anyone know what the second capped stem is for?

Oh, and another thing, I inflated the tire to check for leaks, it seems to be good, which means now I need to figure out how to deflate it again. Any tips?

Deflate it? Isn't it just a regular Shraeder valve?

Just Googled and found;

Old timers may remember the bright engineering idea that cars had where the spare was provided with two valves, one to air up the space saver spare and the other to air it down again after use.
