I know someone used to make a way to use stock 4lug wheels and vented 911 rotors/calipers,etc.
Are they still available, and is there a place to get more info? Gratsi BJH (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

Bradholio has a few sets ready to go down there.......these allow the 911 11" dia. vented rotors.
if interested I started to put together 12" vented Wilwood rotors for my car that I'd happy to share..... |

I can't remember, Mueller's hubs have the 3" spacing, any chance he can make them the proper spacing for boxster monoblocks? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I do have sveral sets of the latest version.
Minor changes have been made to help the wheel bearing seal stay in place when you have grease all over it and the smooth billet hub. I also must INSIST that people interested in these hubs buy NEW dust covers. Your 30 year old dust covers that have been off and on 100 times will not work well with the smooth surface of the new billet hubs. Your orginals collapse every time you hammer them back on. John Rogers has had them on his Vintage 914 race car for 20-30 race events. B |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) 3" spacing has nothing to do with the hubs. It is the struts that the caliper attaches to. If you want to use Boxster monoblocks or any other 3.5" caliper then you will need to change struts....5 luggers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

QUOTE I can't remember, Mueller's hubs have the 3" spacing, any chance he can make them the proper spacing for boxster monoblocks? and.. just to keep things "straight".. "Bremtek" made these hubs back in the early 80's. They didnt sell well. I worked with them on a SCCA GT3 914 I supported back in the early 90's. When SCCA changed their rules and stated: ANY brakes could be used that came stock on ANY 914.. I jumped. This meant we could use vented rotors and 9146/911 calipers on ALL our Ep/Fp cars. This also kept my racer buddies with 3-4 sets of 4 lug racing wheels from having to buy new 5 lug wheels and having to switch out the struts. Now you know "why" I did them *again* "Brads hubs". Mike did the CAD drawings for me and has made minor CNC changes to the 50 pairs I had made several years ago now. The hubs have nothing to do with the 3 inch spacing. I have the drawings done for the 5 lug billet hubs for stock 4 lug struts. Just debating on pulling the trigger on that one. B |

Stock 914... Crap. I thought the "Brad/Mueller Hubs" were a complete replacement, hub with caliper mount on the strut. It's just the hub itself? Which means... I'd have to grind the mounting tab off of the strut and weld on a new one (assuming I could make it perfect) or use an adapter. Dang (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

i wouldnt trust most peoples welding on such a critical mount.....
Mcalipers are plenty for most 914's grasshoppa..... even with sticky meats i can still lock up my brakes... (yoko A032R tires) |
