Howdy from Kansas City,
I was considering painting my 914 "mellow yellow", the light creamy yellow color used on some of the newer VW Beetles. With this I was going to paint the Targa Top, Vinyl areas on Targa Bar, rocker panels, and front and rear valences a dark chocate brown (satin finish, non glossy). Does anyone have an opinion on whether this would look good?. I remember seeing pictures of a mellow yellow 914 on this forum about 9 months ago (but the targa was painted yellow too), but couldn't locate it. If anyone knows this owner, let them know I would like to see some pictures of his car. This paint color decision is killing me. I want something that is an eye popper, not a common color like silver, or white, even though 914s look great in these colors. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob |
