So Wednesday i did my first drivers education with Chicago PCA at BlackHawk Farms. Four thirty minute track sessions with a instructor.

Had a blast. Ran over 100 track miles.

Went to take car #s off and lost ~15" by 2" section of paint off drivers door.

Same tape I used last year with no problems (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

now i have to figure out a fixv (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Sorry to hear what happened.

Olympic Blue is a solid color. You should be able to have that paint matched... a good body shop should be able refinish the door.

If you're going to have one door refinished, consider having both doors done if you're going to use tape on both doors in the future.

And after that, make surethat you have a good layer of wax on the doors before you put tape or temporary decaled numbers on.

Also, make sure that the door is clean.

A trick I learned when back tapeing graphics was to pull out the piece of tape I

am going to use and drag it across my pant leg. The tape picks up a little of the

fiber and would not pull up the paint I was tapeing off.
