Hi everyone,
I have to replace mine and I'm looking to source something that will work...anyone got any specs regarding the thread? I know the nut is a 30mm castellated. I'd rather not yank out the axel shafts at this time to take down to the local nut and bolt shop. Cheers -L |

Dude from where...PP doesn't list them...mine are completely F'd. -L Call HPH (High Performance House).... A Porsche dealership might even still have them..also, with Pelican, if you call or e-mail, they can get parts not listed..... I'm sure if you ask in the classifieds section, you might find someone willing to give you a few that are in good condition...I won't be able to look in my garage till Sunday, but I'll look for you.... |

get a castellated nut.
I dont want to be going to your funeral over a three dollar nut. It looks like a castle for a reason--it has a circlip thing for a reason. VW didnt put things on the car bc it looked cool or ricey. Oh and the torque value I think is three men's worth of weight on that nut. |

Actually I intended on using a replacement castellated nut on it the entire time. I just thought it would be easier to tell them the thread specs instead of me yanking out the axel and taking it down there to get a new one fitted. -L get a castellated nut. I wouldn't trust just any hardware store nut, I don't have a PET in front of me, but it'll give you the spec and the grade of it....
torque it to ~250 ft-lbs |

Hmm, Unfortunately I dont have the tread pitch specs.
Why dont you take the nut down to the place and have them match it to a stud or something, which is identifyable. I mean your castellated nut still resembles a nut somewhat? I'm sure there are only two or three different pitches for that size, I'd buy all three types and try em, keep the ones that fit. |

I've got 2 used ones you can have, just pay shipping...not the prettiest, but nothing I wouldn't hesitate using. (all flats are fine, just ugly finish)
