You will notice the 'KPH' on the speedo perhaps.

I like the fact that the driver has no helmet on with one wheel almost off the ground. I would wager a tidy sum that the seatbelt is nicely stowed as well.

Little red car says GGGGGGrrrr. Blink blink.

I have a distorted view of beauty and I think my views are the right ones. Remember, we are the ones who like 914s and the rest of the world dosen't!! Of course, there is an Edsel club to.LOL

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) I think I just scared myself just now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

It might be my imagination, but is there a nice smokey haze coming off the back tyres? I think the headlights are cool looking. But, I would rather have a GT kit for my next 914 headlights....

I'd say you're correct (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

other nice detail: see the license plate, mounted with a black tape (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Jeff(sixnotfour),
The pic and article are from "PORSCHE SPORT 76/77". The photo credits are given to "AUTO MOTOR und SPORT". No date is given for the reference to the German periodical.
BTW, the "PORSCHE SPORT 76/77" is a soft cover book by Joe Rusz. There are 12 pages given over to the 914 and its varients(i.e. show cars, /6 pick-up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) , the 914/8, and a brief history of the 914.) There are some unkind remarks made regarding the 914, but given the era in which it was published, it shouldn't surprise the reader. Interestingly, the 924 is introduced in this same publication and as the informed know, had even less Porsche content than did the 914.

How much did the one go for at the PelicanParts auction? The one in the foreground?
