I took this off a 2.0 that was getting converted to a six. I've never seen one before. Pretty well built, and sounds decent. The muffler is a fairly heavy gauge steel, and the rust you see is surface rust only, it's very solid. Just curious.

Well it's hard to tell exactly what it is by the picture but I have heard rumor

Never seen one exactly like that but it reminds me of the old performance

mufflers. Any info at all?

And cut shins too?? I know at least two 914 guys that have permanent scars on the shin from those! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

A guy at an autocross I went to had a muffler with 3 outputs. People called it "the udder". Strange cows, if you ask me.

I have one of those around. I was told it was a Type 1 muffler. Mike (aka Sparky) knows the secret.

Looks like the old Bug muffler.

Scott Schroeder made one similar to that out of an old Banana Muffler. Welded 2 pipes straight out with Supertrapps. I think.
