Does anyone know what this error I'm getting with the MSN IM service, "Your Gateway appears to be offline"???

I'm able to get online with both Yahoo & aol with no problems.

I run the Troubleshoot/Repair thingy, but a 'to do list' of things pops up and it stops at Default Gateway.

any ideas?

lots of google hits on that one. here is an answer that seemed to work

To flush the DNS, go to Start > Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key
Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns
