Does anyone recognize this warranty tag? It says "Do Not Remove Gauruntee" on it (although they spelled gauruntee correctly). Its a 2.0 bus engine thats been bored out to 2.3. The PO who put it in says it came from "someplace in California" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
THanks for all yall's help!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Kinda like those tags on pillows and mattresses.....there just to piss ya off.

Unless you are the original purchaser....fuggetaboutit.....

If you is.....I've been told that if the block overheats the glue melts and the tag falls off.

of course I've been known to be wrong.....

That's not a warranty tag, it's a "warranty is void" tag. If the engine gets hot enough to melt the tag, it takes whatever warranty you had with it. Some good machine shops and engine builders, and all the bad ones, use 'em. Look elsewhere on the block and heads for a stamp of some kind, identifying the builder. Something like (shudder!) GEX.
