What is it?
I punched the throttle on my V8-914 today and noticed that it was shifting strange and wouldn't go into 4th or 5th. Then I heard some rubbing which sounded like my tire rubbing the fender (they are close but generally only rub over bumps). I pulled over and noticed that the engine mount bar was hanging loose on the right side. The bolt was still attached to the body but the nut had come off. I must admit that I didn't look too close to see if it stripped off or just vibrated loose. The reason for this is that coolant (yes I realize that most of you don't know what that is) was running out on the ground. I think a hose just got pulled off when the engine dropped a few inches. Thanks, Jonathan |
