on another topic, anyone in the springfield area know how to adjust door windows? my drivers side window needs to be raised about a quater of an inch to seal properly. a little cold and friggin' moist the way it is now!

cheers all and pray for spring! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

you must be a recent snow transplant too. I'll be leaving san francisco in a month to live in philadelphia. hopefully I won't see snow until the end of the year. 25 years in MI, cannot believe I am headed back to the cold!

Scott, check the Haynes manual for window adjusting info. The 73+ windows are relatively straightforward, as long as you can get the door panel off of the door. Not sure about the earlier ones.

Scott,

I'm about 30 miles south of you. I think I understand 914 window adjustment. Sometimes the problem is actually the seal and not the window position. Also door alignment has a major effect. Come visit me with the car when it's safe outside.

Chris

ps I just heard a local weatherman predicting a major snowstorm here for next week.

Bullshit, B! It didn't get over 65 down here in the South Bay, and the weather-folk say that it only got up to 70 in the North Bay!

Man, I hate these cold winter days.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The bay area weather has been quite seasonable, but for me a little cool. I don't like to go out until the chill has left, usually around 10am.. ('course, what I have to do is different than what I like to do...) To make sure I appreciate it fully tho, I'm heading up to Saskatchewan for the weekend. Apparently it's a little cooler up that way, and I have to find something called a "touque".???

Anywhoo, if I see a teener, I'll shoot a pic and post it. 'Smor likely that someone will see my touque and shoot it...

Yeah Dave.. those damn micro climates. Our highly calibrated thermometer showed 74 today. When the fog rolls in from the bay.. its gets chilly.

Bruce, it's funny to see 2 rural Canadians here on this forum. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wavey.gif)

I live about 1-½ hours from Toronto and my front yard is very similar to yours except it's overlooking a valley. We live in the Ganaraska forest on a 23-acre hobby farm. We have wild deer, fox, partridge, turkeys, rabbits and more running around on the property every day. We have been spoiled here, for the last several years our winters have been mild and for the most part dry.

The California boys can brag all they want about their weather (and I'll bitch about mine) but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Being a country boy I can't stand cities and the biggest (and only) traffic jam we've ever had was when a neighbors cows got loose.

Two days ago we had a vicious ice storm. I chiseled almost a solid inch off my windows to be able to see. Driving home from work, in 4WD in my Wrangler, I passed a car in the ditch/median every 100 yards in the 10 mile drive.

Earlier in the day there was a 20+ car pileup on the same route I take home.

When I saw the minivan flipped on it's top with one side crushed... I decided it was time to put the seatbelt on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
