Hey jdogg,

I got the car a straightened out. It was just really bad out of alignment. Brad at Digital Chassies did a great job on it.

I'm in Thomasville just outside off Greensboro. I Just bought a yellow 72 a few weeks ago in Angier NC @ a used car lot. It's in pretty decent shape but I'm still shaking out a few bugs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Glad it was simple alignment issue. Brad is a great guy, very meticulous in his approach.

Trout-
Let's see some more pics of that car!

The pic on my avatar is from the day I had it delivered. I've had a couple of 914 before so its nice to be back. I'll get some more pics posted after I get home tonight. It runs pretty good, has dual carbs & a MSD box. Seems to run out of fuel on the top end though. I just haven't had a lot of time to spend with her yet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Saw the pictures Trout, it looks great!

I have sent everyones information to Ben, all who responded should be getting an email from him to join a local yahoo list.

I looked on the Members Map and there are several folks in the Winston-Salem area if we could contact them. Looks like we're finally putting together a decent network of enthusiasts!!

Attached ImageI am in Summerfield just outside of Greensboro. I have a 71 that is currently under a full restoration. I know of one other member that lives out here also. Here is the latest picture from today. Cutting out the rust and getting ready for the steal flares. I should have it back for Christmas. If anyone needs a Great Shop just let me know. They are the Best. All there work win's tons of awards.

Howie-
Looks like an ambitious project!!!! PM or email me your contact info so we can get you in the database.

Looks like an interesting collection of cars out this way...and it seems an interesting ratio of running vs. non-running...I think it is a perfect 50-50 split!

Hey, Raleigh NC Teeners! I am not in the Triangle area but I do reside in the Triad area. I am in King, NC which is about twenty minutes north of Winston-Salem straight up Hwy 52. I am between W-S and Pilot Mountain.

I would be interested in getting up with other 914 owners in NC on occasion. I have a 1975 914 with dual carb conversion. I will post a picture.

I have seen a couple of other 914's in the area but I have not had the opportunity to talk with them.

Keep in touch if you guys plan a get together! Add me to your list of contacts!

Flat out ignoring people is not the best way to build a network. I'm going to PM you anyway. My car is a stock yellow '74 driver with Mahle wheels on it now but I have more than one pair of shoes for it. I need a set of rocker covers for it. The ones on it are flat home made jobs w/ no jack hole.

I'd be interested in doing something in Charlotte or Ashville in the spring. I prefer car shows or get togethers that are visible to people not attending them. There was a pic posted recently of 3 914's in a strip mall parking lot. To just about everyone seeing one of them is rare and a handfull draws a lot of attention.

Huh? Sorry, I guess I did not personally request a PM from you. I got your PM and forwarded your info to Ben. Now chill out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif) So now that we have group of people why don't we try to figure out something to do. With the holiday season right around the corner maybe we could plan something for January-February so people can have plenty of time to plan and get a good turn out. Any thoughts??
