I checked the archive as best I could on this, but didn't find something similiar---
My speedo quit, but the odometer and trip odo work just fine. I pulled the cable end from the speedo, and the shaft turns just fine while driving. Do I need a new speedo? Scott ps-thanks in advance for the assist..... |

okay, in your speedo you have a cup that turns when a magnetic force is spun close to it.
Mine had grease in between that cup and the bore in which the cup sat, and I had no speedo. Take the speedo apart and you'll see what i'm taking about. |
