Yea. I heard from Jeff (jd66921) a couple of times.
He said on day one: "Boy, did we drive a road yesterday! It is called Talimena Scenic Highway, or something. 60 miles of up and down hill, and around the corners. It goes east, but at points I was blinded by the sun in the west! A few too many cars and bikes on it, too many cruiser bikes not even going the speed limit, but other times there was nothing in front and could run at speed. I was almost scared at how tight but fast the turns were. Remember, I NEVER see roads like that! All of mine are straight and flat, and the highest thing I see is a highway overpass! Last night there was a liars contest. Good bunch of story tellers in this group! No idea if they were telling the truth of not. Today we go, with pinkies lifted, to a winery. Don't know after that! I just follow along! Well, I've got to install the new tach I got from Clay. You're ringht, he and Betty are nice people! Then off to :driver: again!" Day two: We had another day of fun driving today! First, we drove to a winery. Nice road, and really fun going UP to the winery. It was fun touring the place with one of the great grandsons of the founders. After that, we went to Mount Magazine for lunch. That was even better driving up to the lodgee on top. What a view from up there! The drive home was kinda slow because of traffic. Had a tech quiz tonight. Some of the women descibed parts, and we had to guess what tthey were. Pretty funny! Tomorrow we start doing the fun drives. I can only imagine what they are, we have been doing well so far!" He did mention that he won an award for the longest drive (from Corpus Cristy, Texas). And that they were fun to party with, but not as fun as the So Cal, Nv, Az, NM crowd. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) ........Ok, so I threw that last part in.
