I'm "pretty sure" its April 26th (Saturday) My SSI meet is Sunday the 27th.

You'll have to do a Google search for Hershey Porsche swap meet.

While I was mostly just manning my "booth", I was able to get out to look at a few things. I looked at a decent /6 conversion and an 'ok' /4. I thought the asking prices seemed a little high, but I wasn't really looking to negotiate either. A friend of mine looked at a nice '74 but a girl bought the car out from under him before he had a chance to negotiate. So, if you see something you like, buy it fast or it'll be gone.

I'd would say that there is a chance that you could find a nice car there, but I wouldn't count on it, just in case you don't.

Stop by and say Hi. I'll have a set up there again this year.

From what I always hear about the west coast stuff, you may
not be impressed with the quantity of cars for sale. I have been
going to this for 15 years, and honestly I stick to the parts
section, but I don't recall that they separated cars by model or
anything. I think there's just porsche-only parking (>200 cars)
and many of them have for sale info on them.

Don't get me wrong, this is the biggest only-porsche event in
the country, and despite the internet seems to only get huger
every year. Since there is not a pomona every week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) it draws
people from a huge radius.

Here is a photo in front of the vast expanse of cars from last year.

There is also the Porsche Corral (in front of the Porsche only parking area) that has cars for sale. I mostly saw tail draggers and water pumpers, but like I said, I wasn't really looking.

oh yeah, the 26th. I was looking at the '02 schedule. well if I get a house with a garage I will go check it out, otherwise it will be too depressing to look without the option to buy.

Actually, yeah the whole day was very overcast, looked
ominous.
