i'll have to drive 30 miles to get my daughter tonight that i usually only have to drive 7 miles, this is one way.
this is 'cause of the flooding in our area. there is only one way in to snohomish from were i'm at, and it's the same way for every one comming from the south in their commute. so it'll take an hour or two to get there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

How do you know it doesn't float? There's only one way to find out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I was born in Contra Costa county, one of my oldest memorys is crossing the

pontoon bay bridge duering a storm. The water would wash over the bridge and

my Moms 57 VW would float and rise with the water. I don't see any reason your

teener wouldn't do the same...but I wouldn't try it.

Ideally, a 914 with new seals should float just as the old beetle and ghia used to.

You have all new seals, no rust, and no "extra" holes in your hull - er... tub. Right? Go for it!

Best of luck!

Troy feel fortunate (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I had a pretty bad day Monday.
Tree snapped off in the storm crushed the shed containing
all the spare parts, smashed the the silver (blue) teener & wrecked the fitted cover, the dirt bikes seemed come out ok, but the gutters on the house didnt fare so well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)
What a mess.

That bites Rich. At least the Creamsickle is OK.

Troy - rig a sail off the targa bar. You'll get another 3-4 HP. I can't believe it's raining again.

and it only took me 30 min to get to snohomish. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif)

i took some side streets in the city to get to the freeway on the north side of hwy 2 so i didn't have to sit in the back up north bound.

my buddy that works by my shop took 1.5 hr to get home.

Hi Rich,

Sorry to hear that! I hope you can salvage the car and parts. Wish I were closer. I would come help. I have a group coming for a class this weekend...one guy coming all the way from Salt Lake City...hope they all can make it without incident. We had the Moclips river rise up with dead tree parts caught against the bridges threatening to make a dam and wash things away. Pretty exciting stuff. The river is usually so small you can walk across it. Been a raging torrent the last few days.

Thanks you guys are great.
Im taken tommorow off to tear down and rebuild (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
My wife called me that afternoon and said: " Your gonna be mad!" ...
my first thought was that she wrecked the Audi (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
then she told me bout the teener.
I ran home and cleaned up as much as I could until ...I broke my chainsaw (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Like I said it was a bad monday.

Bummer Rich, you need anything, let me know. I can lend a hand this weekend if needed no problem.

Allen creek behind our house became Allen River! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) But no damage to any houses in the area.
