so the car is still drivable. just not very much so.


whats happening is when im going (no matter what gear im in)
it seems that i neutralize at about 4k rpm. sending the needle completely over.
i changed the tranny oil and tightened the new clutch cable.

i think/hope i just need to loosen the clutch cable (at the tranny end)
and that its not stripped gears or what ever.

any one got any tips?

1. You do not strip gears in our trannies unless you do something VERY excessive and bad. No worries there.

2. What did you adjust your cable to? What did you use to decide it was tight enough? Where does the clutch seem to diengage in the pedal travel; top, middle, bottom?

3. What kind of gear oil did you use in your tranny?

4. Do you have any oil leaking out from between your engine adn your tranny bell housing?
