It's a bit of an ego trip to have your car published. It's also a source of data for this forum.

I know there was an excellent article about Tom Bliznik's 914 in Excellence in 2002.

Any others?

yeah - my car was published in an Austrian society magazine, called "Tirolerin"
they wrote an article about oldtimers in Tirol and picked out 3 cars and their owners from Tirol - not really exciting, only one photo (my teener and me) and the most importand data of the car ...
this was back in June 2002

here's a larger version of the photo (the one in the magazine was just about 2" x 3" ...

My car was featured on a postal stamp from Tatarstan.
Well the image was lifted from my website anyway!

I have this envelope with the stamp on it in my collection, but never realized that it's your car

that's cool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

My '74 2.0 was prominently featured in a 7 page full color 914 article in the January 2000 issue of European Car.

It was also in Paternie's How to Restore and Modify 914.

My 911SC has been in the Performance Products catalog for years. The red SC with the silver aftermarket air box cover. I didn't use the cover, but my car was the model. Here it is.

here you can get a better impression of where I live - all these pictures were taken closer to my place than the one above (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

well, side markers were standard equipment on a US teener (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
as you can see in my signature it's a 1.8 US car

here's a little overview to the car's history
- delivered to Jacksonville, FL in June 1974
- about 2 years at the 1st owner
- then sold to SoCal ... about 21 years at the 2nd owner
- then sold to Cherry Valley (Riverside area) - another 2 years at the 3rd owner
- a friend of mine brought it to Austria and sold it to me directly - this was back in 1999

thanks for the compliment (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)

March 2006 - local paper here has this small section in their Sunday "drive" section of the paper called "you AUTO be in pictures". So I submitted a picture of my 914 and a short summary of myself, wife & the 914. Guess who's car was selected.
