Working on a side project (to help finance the 914 hopefully (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) )
Currently the NPN Transistor that was spec'd out, 2N4401, is not working like it should, basically we are using it to turn on a 24vac solenoid valve with a rating of 6W's. With the 2N4401, our valve is only getting 13v. I switched the transistor out with a 2N6043 and now my device works (getting the correct 24v)(all five of the prototypes had been reconfigured with new transistor and correct voltage is now activating the valve) The biggest problem is the mounting of the 2N4401 is a different configuration than the 2N6043 and we feel the replacement transistor is overkill....so, any recommendations for a transistor that will fit the board ? http://www.vishay.com/docs/85111/85111.pdf http://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/2N6040-D.PDF Thanks, You can reply directly to me at mueller914@yahoo.com Thanks, Mike Mueller |
