As a relative newbie, but a long time 914 owner (10 years), i am not familiar with the LE model. What we unique about this model, and when was it produced?

If I'm not mistaken, Lawrence has quite a bit of the history of LE's on his website (www.highway914.net) - look under the link for Shadow (I think that's what he has the Bee listed as on the site).

the vendors that sell the cheap special edition knockoffs should be charged with false advertising. because there's nothing "special"about them. especially? yes, as in the poor degree of manufacture.
