I understand our 2.0's have a windage tray, and I understand the purpose relative to oil control. I was snooping around some old threads and came across this one:
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?show...&hl=windage Have a look at the photos- kinda wild the oil build up in the head. Question is, is this build up due to the car being in a turn, and oil being forced into either the L or R head? ...or- when driving in a straight line, at a steady speed, will the throw/rotation of the crank cause one head to load up with more oil than the other? I thought I recall reading/hearing this would occur somewhere, but don't recall where, and was just curious. |
