Recently EBay'd some spare fuel rails. Cheap, but nasty. Good for spares.

But, they are steel (as advertised). Full of crud, but I can fix that.

Question though. If I put a magnet to the Ebay's parts, it sticks - like it should.

My orig's, from '72 think a magnet is just another piece of dust - no stick.

Moreover, my orig's have no signs of oxidation, leading me to believe they are non-ferrous (looks like aluminum).

Input please?

Were the early rails aluminum, pot metal, etc? Or do I have another freak early 914?
