I hadn't seen this one yet. Very cool test/review of the 914 when it was brand spanking new.

Really interesting...

But when he put the Targa top in the trunk, didn't he put it in backwards?

Why were they only getting 25mpg tops? Seems low

Great video though. They summed up the 914 pretty darn well I think. Even the wet feet part (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I uploaded that video to save whoever was hosting it some bandwidth, and to make it easier to find for other 914 goons... SirAndy posted a .mpg of it some time ago.

I have both the version of the video without the subtitles, and the one with the subtitles. You can probably search to find them on the forum here, or I can upload them to my site if anyone wants the originals, otherwise, you can use Video Ook to download the .flv from google and use media player classic to play them.

I can't upload them now, but if you'd like, I'll do it later.

Cool. I should have known it would have been around here before. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I stumbled across it on a Google search ealier today.

Thank you. And a big thanks to Andy for the subtitles!

Are you guys compensating for tire size? Lower profile tires (165/85 stock) will make your speedo read fast, which makes your odometer read fast, which makes it look like you went farther than you did, which falsely boosts your MPG. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I do love that video though. That's for the translation Andy... wherever you are...
