Glühwein:
take 1 1/2 liter of cheap-o-redwine, heat it up until boiling,
add "Glühweingewürz" (a special assortement of spices, which is the tricky part, had my mom send me some from germany), add sugar if you like, let it steep for a while ...

drink while HOT!

traditional german drink for the winter-time. makes you feel very warm & fuzzy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Sounds like a beverage rendered from old racehorses. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)

Used to go with a gal. We drank Glühwein after we went to the woods and cut Chrismas trees. Built a fire in the snow, middle of the trees, heat it in a tin pot, stir with cinamon sticks. Ummmmmm!!!

Cut trees first. Chainsaws and Glühwein don't mix. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

We did that stuff when skiing in Austria and Germany....3 glasses then hit the slopes. Made it easier to ski in shorts on the sunny glaciers and piss off the locals. Great fun....
