So I have contacted Porsche about the odd number of cars they claim were produced for the 1976 model year (14100) and got an email response today. The guy sent me a little spreadsheet that lists the production numbers they use when putting together COAs. None of these numbers jive with the few resources I have seen, with the worst offender being the 1976 model year:
1970 13312 1971 16231 1972 21580 1973 27660 1974 21379 1975 11369 1976 14100 Question to the experts: What production numbers do you know about and what is the source for them? With a little luck and given good sources I may even get them to reconsider their figures. |
