On the info pages the production number does not list the 1976 year.
On the chassis numbers is stops at the vin #4075 and we all know that it went up to 4100. |

"1976 914/4 4762900001 – 4762904075"
In the VIN's this is listed and is wrong as we have VIN # 476294099 in our member vins proving the 4100 cars for 76. |

5lbs but most of that is gone. Eating a steady diet of beer, stropwaffles, Brussel waffles, frites, Bon Bons and Bamie will make you gain weight (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)
Loved every minute of it! Now, I can't find any working links that show the Vin data at this time. For years the 76 vin numbers were listed as 4075 but then Porsche.com showed up with 4100. We know in fact of 4081 (I have a pic)and now 4099 so how did we end up then with the difference of 25 vins. I saw then that it was that 4075 2.0L cars were produced and 25 1.8L cars were made resulting in the 4100 number. Yes, the owners manual states no 1.8L cars were exported but the records of Porsche are terrible since these cars were really handmade with the leftovers until there were no bodies left. |
