for $450,000, it better be !
for $450,000, you can get a r-e-a-l-l-y nice Mooney and fly 200 mph every day.
for $450,000, i'm expecting Salma Hayek to drive me to work every day ...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) what he said ^^^^

i payed $4500 for my car.
that's 1/100 of what a Carrera GT costs.
but i have much more than 1/100 of the driving fun compared to a CGT for sure.
i also could have 100 914 for the same amount of money.
that would be a different car for every 3.65 days in a year.

sooo, which one is the better deal? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

No question $450,000 is a lot of money. Really a silly amount of money for just 4 wheels.

But it becomes a tough choice whether to drive a Carrera GT or fly a Mooney. The Mooney is really really fun, but somehow I think the sensation of speed would be much greater in the GT, like maybe the difference between night and day.

As for me I’ll take Jamie Lee Curtis to drive me to work. She’s got a great personality amongst other things.

Hm. It would be interesting to be in the position to actually have *that* choice to make. i.e. "should I buy this 450K GT? or perhaps just 4 916's....." Till then, it's just (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chatsmiley.gif) , ain't it?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It's friday.

The Dr. who was selling the 916 has a GT on order from Porsche. Should arrive any time now.

The picture looks good in the magazine, but not so good here. But I think you'll get the idea.

I don't understand why there is so little tuning stuff available for the Boxster (and I don't mean carbon dash inserts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif))

cheers,

Right now.. the market is too new for Boxster hot rod stuff. Only the first two years are out of warranty.

Here, it's still considered a "hairdressers or girlie" car
I'd really like to get my hands on a cheap Boxster and prove those wankers wrong

Then again... I'd really like to do a lot of stuff (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

cheers,

Andy

Let's see....

$450,000.00 worth of high-octane, space technology...

$450,000.00 worth of 30 year old rust..

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Resale, 30 year old rust. You'd flood the market, and take a hit selling though..

$450,000

NO BIG DEAL

I noticed a guy offering 20 year financing on special interest autos. In the Autoweek classifieds.

Lets see, thats only about $2,000/ month for the rest of my life. But look at the bright side, it won't seem like that big of a payment after about the 10th year!?!?

By the time its paid off fossil fuel will be banned.

There's no hot rod stuff for the Boster engine cause it's sh.....er....none too durable in it's stock form. Couple that with the warantee issues, smog compliance....yada..

If a guy had a bunch of money, a GT3 engine and a trans that would live behind it....... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
