need to set an event entry fee.
people will need to budget early.

i 'presume' there will be an 'awards banquet' of some description.
line up the catering on this real early, lock down the menu and the pricing.
Seanery knows this: large event catered meals are frightfully expensive; it will be one of the event's biggest costs.

setting a venue and menu for even my little event took a surprising amount of effort.

it's easy to get carried away with badges and dash plaques and goodie bags and 'stuff' and before too long you're spending $100 an attendee.

this point will come up in another thread i'm sure: assign car numbers early, prepare ID tags, and insist they must be displayed on event vehicles at all times. i didn't do this and i paid the price in administration nightmare ...
