A motley crew for sure (Sharon excluded!)

So besides one greasy palm was there any progress? What was the the diagnosis? Ferg, your car is probably still in shock from having to be out..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

nothing super obvious, though some thought one valve seat looked a tad sunk...
Brant's gonna come back over and take a better look at the motor this week.

in response to John, and all......

thanks so much fellas
ferg, gint, greg, scott... I defintely owe you guys (again!)

dad had a long chat with AJ today
AJ's not convinced that the valve seat was making my noise.
looks like the block is coming apart this weekend.

I may have parts for sale soon!
I may be parting this motor out, unless something obvious comes up soon.

more to follow next week
thank again for the invaluable help fellas!

I didn't think so either. It looks a llittle sunk, but it appeared to be still intact and in the head (not loose or broken). Damn shame though.

It will be interesting to find out what the issue was.

I know it's a lot of coin, but Clayton has a REALLY nice type4 built by henry at supertec that he might consider letting go of. Put it on your Visa, the payment will be well worth it!
